Grolsch SwingArt 2008

A new limited edition of Grolsch SwingArt bottles will be unveiled this December in Miami during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach.

This year’s SwingArtist is Edouard Duval Carrié, the famous artist from Haiti, currently residing in Miami. Duval Carrié is internationally renowned as one of the great masters of Caribbean painting. Throughout his career he has participated in numerous exhibitions in galleries and museums around the world, as well as in notable biennials and art fairs. The work he designed for Grolsch SwingArt is entitled Anima, which means “the spirit within” in Latin.

Grolsch SwingArt by Duval Carrié will be exhibited as an art collage on the exterior wall of Soho Studios in the heart of the Wynwood Art District (2136 NW 1st Ave, Miami), the venue for the PULSE Art Fair during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach.

The unique SwingArt bottles - numbered 1-1700 will be distributed exclusively to VIPs and guests at the previews of: PULSE, Art Miami, NADA, Photo Miami, Scope and Art Asia.

Grolsch has supported the Art Scene since 2006. In the past two years the company has successfully sponsored major contemporary art fairs: NADA, SCOPE, PULSE, NEXT, ART LA, etc. Their main Art Scene pockets can be found in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Chicago. In each of these cities, Grolsch works with numerous galleries and prominent museums. The company supports major events associated with innovative, cutting edge contemporary art, as well as smaller underground events.

This December, in addition to supporting leading Art Fairs during Art Basel week in Miami, Grolsch will also sponsor a number of gallery events in Wynwood, miscellaneous art events and art-related parties at local establishments.
